I should add that Metabo does NOT list their units as being iPulse, but I gathered that info from watching videos of the Metabo in action. The OEM for both vacs is Starmix, and they both have the same CFM vacuum flow. Easier cleanup is also a bonus for the Metabo. The Bosch, uses the older technology, continuous running shaker, with its ongoing "Thump-Thump-Thump" whereas the Metabo uses the new system and only thumps when necessary. When it comes right down to it, the only difference between the Bosch and the Metabo is the filter shaker system. Because Starmix themselves do not sell in North America, the only way to get one of their vacs is to buy a rebrand from the various European tool manufactures, either Metabo, Mafell or Bosch. Starmix refers to this as the ipulse system. It differs from the above model Starmix 1450 in that it has the new body design (easier to clean), has a filter monitor, is M class, and perhaps most importantly it has the new version of the filter shaker system which monitors the filter efficiency and only thumps the filters when necessary. The Metabo Im after, the Model ASR35, is also a Starmix, however it is based on Starmix model. This same model is sold as a Mafell (and maybe even a Metabo in some markets as well) Steve, Between the Bosch Airsweep 3931A-PB and the Starmix ISC ARD-1450 EWS it is based on, their is basically no real difference. Id love to find one of the Systainer adapters that fit these Starmix vacs somewhere here in NA. Ill take a couple pics and post up some preliminary results. I got some drywall to do in the next few days. Nozzle 1.5" hose and the 35mm factory Bosch one. I wish I had an anemometer to see if there is any difference in airflow between the Mr. How accurate it is, I dont know, but it'll be an interesting test. Theyre both supposed to be about the same size, but the nozzle on the bosch hose seems to create a higher pitched squeal with the rushing air, likely due to it being a smaller orifice. One thing I noticed is a SIGNIFICANT difference in sound level between the factory Bosch hose and the aftermarket (LV sourced) Mr. The included handle, cord, hose and wand storage is really great and makes for a nice compact package. Build quality of the OEM Starmix is superb. Even difficult powders such as gypsum cannot withstand the forces of vibration more than 300 times the gravitational force of the earth (300G). If the factory-set limit value is exceeded, the vacuum cleaner cleans the filters one after the other for 3.5 seconds using electromagnetic pulse vibration. An intelligent electronic system uses sensors to constantly measure the state of clogging of the filters. In addition, thanks to the iPulse technology with intelligent pulse filter cleaning, it guarantees always clean filters without reducing performance and interrupting suction during work. The Starmix iPulse vacuum cleaner for fine and difficult dusts is ideal for the heaviest uses with very high dust emissions, allowing the filtration of materials such as concrete, plaster, stone, cement, wood, metal, paint and lacquer.
